Timetable for filling new professorial chairs at the CNMS

When the CNMS was founded in July, 2006, the chairs in Ancient Near Eastern Studies (Prof. Sommerfeld) and Semitic Studies (Prof. Weninger), as well as the honorary professorship in Egyptology (Prof. Hannig), were already in place.

Five further professorial chairs have since been established.

July 2007	Appointment of Prof. Pannewick as Head of Department
November 2007	Filling of the academic assistant position: Dr. Botros
October 2008	Establishment of a second Lectureship: Dr. Zein
July 2007	Iranian Studies: Appointment of Prof. Werner as Head of Department
November 2007	Filling of the academic assistant position: Ms. Devos Filling of the Lectureship: Mr. Abdolmohammadzadeh
October 2008	Economics of the Near and Middle East: Appointment of Prof. Rahim as Head of Department (Junior professorship, after second advertisement)
