Informelle Institutionen
| Die traditionelle Ökonomie untersucht vorwiegend die Bedeutung von "formellen" Institutionen für individuelles Verhalten (etwa die Rolle von Markt-Preisen für Konsumentscheidungen). In vielen Bereichen wird menschliches Verhalten jedoch auch von informellen Institutionen -- etwa sozialen Normen, Emotionen, etc. -- beeinflusst. In dieser Veranstaltung wird die Rolle von solchen informellen Institutionen untersucht, und Evidenz zur Interaktion und Wirkung von formellen bzw. informellen Institutionen besprochen. Der Schwerpunkt der empirischen Betrachtung wird dabei auf Evidenz aus der experimentellen Ökonomie liegen. |

Microeconometrics
| In this course, which will consists of a 2 hour lecture and a 2 hour tutorial (in the computer room), we will discuss microeconometric methods which are used to analyze decision-making of individuals, firms or other entities. We will study the theoretical background of the methods and learn how to apply the methods to 'real' data. The applied part of the course will be based on the software STATA. |
