Franz Westermaier is currently working as Research and Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Public Economics. He studied economics at the Free University of Berlin with a focus on Micro-econometrics and Economics of Education and received his Diploma in May 2011. In July 2011 he was a Visiting Scientist at the ZEW in Mannheim and participated during this period at the Workshop of “Human and Health Capital”. His research interests include Economics of Education, Health and Crime, based on applied Micro-econometrics.
