Dr. Björn Vollan
Björn Vollan worked from 2004 to 2008 for the interdisciplinary research project BIOTA Southern Africa (Biodiversity Monitoring Transect Analysis in Africa) at the Philipps-University of Marburg, in Germany, analysing collective local strategies to conserve natural resources. His work combines experimental economics, survey methods and participatory research for the management of common-pool resources, collective action and institutional change in rural communities. Since May 2008 he is employed at the University of Mannheim at the chair for applied Microeconometrics. The current work combines impact evaluation and experimental economics.
