SHORT CV
Marco Mernberger studied biology at the University of Marburg,
Germany, and received his diploma degree in 2004.
The emphasis of his studies were on the fields of genetics, cell
biology, microbiology and parasitology, his diploma thesis focused on
mass spectrometric analysis of surface proteins in malaria-infected red
blood cells. After working as research assistant in the field of
immunology at the group of Prof. Dr. Birte Steiniger on the
flow-cytometric analysis of macrophages, he additionally started
studying computer sciences at the University of Marburg, Germany. Since
2007 he is research assistant at the Knowledge Engineering and
Bioinformatics group were he is currently working on his PhD.
Additionally, since November 2005, he is working as a freelance
lecturer and instructor for MediLearn Repetitorien.
