Web Technologies

WS 2011/12

The modern world-wide web is increasingly used as a platform for interactive applications, rather than just as a platform to retrieve static documents. The web has important implications for the programming model of applications and requires the application and integration of a set of different technologies from the domains of markup-languages, scripting languages, network protocols, and web services. This course will give an introduction to important web technologies, and students will gain experience in how these techniques collaborate to enable exciting applications.
