We are glad to offer a couple of topics for a thesis, which should serve to provide a first glance at our field of research. Especially in the realm of psychophysics, small, self-contained projects can readily be defined, but we can also discuss projects in theoretical neuroscience or biologically-inspired computer vision. For psychophysical topics no special prior training in neuroscience is necessary; you should, however, have a general interest in biological phenomena and some programming experience is of advantage, but not inevitable. The precise topic we will usually discuss according to your and our interests, some current examples can be found below. A general overview on our research is found on our Website. Usually your thesis will be supervised jointly by a PhD student of our group and myself.
