Our research groups

The research in our institute focuses on different biosynthetic pathways for several biologically active natural products produced by fungi and plants. Besides the elucidation of the genomic organization of these biosynthetic pathways we are also interested in their evolution and coming along with their metabolic diversity as well as the identification and characterization of the involved enzymes. A further aim of our research is the biotechnological production of interesting natural products from fungi and plants.
