Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Harald Plachter
Harald Plachter is animal ecologist
by training. Since 1978
he headed a division for species protection
and basics of ecosystem protection
at the Bavarian State Agency for Environmental
Protection in Munich and gave lectures on nature
Conservation in parallel at Erlangen and Ulm
Universities. 1990 he was appointed as Chair
for Nature Conservation at the Faculty for
Biology of Marburg University, Germany.
