Biology

Our group is active in teaching and research of biological
backgrounds in Nature Conservation.
Teaching:
We are running lectures and courses for Diploma Students and since 2004
started with the Bachelor of Sciences in Biology. In 2007 we will start
the Master of Science in Biology complemented by a specially devoted
PhD study.
Research Topics:
- Genetic imprints of postglacial range expansion
- Dispersal and gene flow in the landscape and in populations under disturbance regimes
- Development of genetic methodologies for applied conservation purposes
- Floodplains and dispersal biology
