schistocerca

I am interested in the processing of polarized light information in the brain of the desert locust Schistocerca gregaria. In this context I perform extracellular long-term recordings in different brain areas, which are parts of the polarization vision pathway. Changes in the physiology of polarization-sensitive neurons depending on the time of day are of particular interest.
