International Summer School 2009

"Models of Language Variation and Change"

Organized by the Graduate Center for Humanities and Social Sciences in cooperation with the Institut für Germanistische Sprachwissenschaft of the Marburg University and the Internationale Gesellschaft für Dialektologie des Deutschen.

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jürg Fleischer and Prof. Dr. Richard Wiese (Institut für Germanistische Sprachwissenschaft at Marburg University).

The summer school program will address issues of language variation and change and is aimed at scholars currently working on Ph.D. projects in this specific field.The teaching languages will be English and German. The participants are expected to attend three summer school courses and to present their dissertation-project in one of them. To enhance the preparation for the summer school a suggested reading list will be given out in advance. The number of participants is limited to 30. The administration fee for the summer school will be 250 Euros.
