In academics, English has become the leading language worldwide: for publications, for presenting or discussing research at conferences or for communicating with researchers all over the world. Regardless of your field of interest or your country of origin you must be able to present, understand and discuss complex scientific topics.
Our seminar “English in Academics” aims at enhancing your communication skills covering the following topics:

1.Writing formal emails.

2.Master small talk at conferences.

3.Perfecting a cover letter CV/ resume for applying to jobs in English- speaking countries.

4.Cultural sensitivity.

5.Mastering soft skills.

6.Worst case scenarios – how to handle common blunders with grace.

A certificate will be given to those participants attending at least four sessions.
