Research Training Group “Group Focused Enmity: Causes, Phenomenology, Consequences” - Call for Applications
The Universities of Marburg and Bielefeld allocate PhD scholarships in the DFG Research Training Group “Group Focused Enmity” in Marburg or Bielefeld for a maximum of 2 years. In addition, associate memberships (without grants) can be awarded. The deadline for applications is scheduled for September 15th, 2011.
Applicants should have graduated with distinction (Master or equivalent) in one of the fields of the faculties of the Research Training Group. International applications are welcome. Proficiency in spoken and written English is required as well as a readiness to learn basic level German.
Application papers should consist of a proposal of the research project including a schedule (in English or German, 10 pages maximum) that fits into the research program of the Research Training Group. Applications should also include a curriculum vitae, a copy of graduation certificates/transcripts and contact information of two academic referees (telephone numbers and e-mail addresses).
We recommend to contact a potential supervisor before sending the application.

Full and associate memberships in the Research Training Group include funding opportunities for academic visits abroad. Members are expected to actively participate in the study program of the Research Training Group in Marburg or Bielefeld, and in the respective working groups of the faculty members.
