Placement for courses in German as a foreign language in
the summer semester 2013
All students who wish to participate in a German course in the
summer semester must take part in a placement test before
registration.
You can only register without a test result if you have
a) taken part in the intensive pre-session class in March/ April 2013 or
b) successfully attended a German course at the Sprachenzentrum in the previous winter semester.
The placement test for German is a written online-Test consisting
of 2 parts:

Please make sure that you do both parts of the test!
Please do not use any additional aids such as dictionaries or grammar books, and do not copy/paste. A reliable assessment of your skill is possible only if you try to answer all questions by yourself. Remember: The goal is not to get everything right. The purpose of this test is for you and us to see where you stand in order to find a class that fits your knowledge, so that you can profit from it.Should you have problems accessing the online tests, you can do the placement test on paper in the Language Centre:

In case that your level cannot be assessed without doubt, you may be asked for a short oral interview on Wednesday evening or Thursday morning (April 17 or 18). Before registration on Thursday you have the opportunity to talk to Dr. Duxa: 9:30 - 11:30 hrs, room 00-019.
