Das Herzstück der Abteilung ist der 7 Tesla Kernspintomograph,

Modell ClinScan 70/30 USR der Firma Bruker.

Ein MRI und MRS Scanner, der speziell für Kleintierstudien nutzbar ist.

Das System ist klinisch orientiert und basiert auf der syngo Technologie der Firma Siemens.

ClinScan - Technical Description

 

Superconducting Magnet System
  • Actively-shielded superconducting wide-bore magnet
  • Nitrogen free (no cryogenic maintenance by customer)
  • Cryo-refrigerator (Minimal helium consumption, long hold-times, long maintenance intervals)
  • Reduced stray field
  • Screening against external field perturbations
  • Table attached to the magnet front side with integrated rail for animal handling system
  • Field strength: 7 T
  • Diameter of clear bore: > 302 mm
  • Stray-field (5 Gauss): +/- 3 m axial, +/- 2 m radial
  • Passive RT shim system
  • Vibration damping (absorber) 

 

 

 

 

 

Gradient system with RT-shim and related power supplies
  • Actively shielded gradients
  • Integrated shim set up to 2nd order
  • Outer / inner diameter: 301.5 mm / 200.5 mm
  • Gradient amplitude: 290 mT/m
  • Slew rate: 1160 T/m/s
  • Linearity 130 / 100 mm DSV: < ± 3% / < ± 2%
  • Water cooled


MR software
The ClinScan runs the software syngo® MR B15
  • Clinically oriented routine workflow
  • Parallel scanning and reconstruction
  • The drag&drop functionality is fully supported
  • iPAT (integrated Parallel Acquisition Techniques)
  • Application packages adapted to small animal MRi/MRS


Electronics
  • MAGNETOM Avanto/Trio digital radio frequency system
  • The digital signal processing system operates at 1H resonance frequency of 300 MHz and
utilizes digital filtering, digital quadrature demodulation as well as digital controls for RF amplitude
stabilization for superior resolution and image quality
  • Multi nuclei option
  • Receiver bandwidth: 1 MHz
  • Digital receive channels: 8 (16, 32 optional)
  • 1H RF amplifier: 1400 W pulse power
  • Host computer with dual processor Pentium XEON™ CPU
  • High performance image processor with dual processor (2x AMD Opteron)
  • High resolution color LCD flat screen monitor
