Currently available topics:
• Determinants of changes in number of Sharia Compliant Stocks
• Meta-Study on defining which countries belong to the MENA region (and what this tells us about the authors/international sphere's of influence).
• Does Economic Growth really matter? (Is the consistent motivation to always grow the economy really a good idea?)
• Topics as part of a larger project: Revisiting the Quantity Theory of Money in the Context of the MENA Region (This project allows up to 3 Master Theses to be written on the following issues):
- Disentangling real and financial GDP in MENA countries
- Measuring the money supply in MENA countries (alternative definitions of money supply)
- Measuring the Velocity of Money in MENA countries
It is possible to coordinate this topic, i.e., if you know of one or two more persons who might be interested in writing their Master Thesis on this issue, you can all approach me together.
