Welcome to the Reim group!

Our research uses the model organism Drosophila melanogaster to investigate the molecular-genetic and developmental basis of the formation and function of muscle systems, in particular the heart. An important aspect is the study of gene regulatory networks and cell communication pathways that ultimately lead to the differentiation of cells with their respective characteristic physiological properties.
