The next IIDEOS PhD course will take place at Marburg University from 16th to 18th September 2013.

Please notice: The PhD Course: "Inventor data: methodologic issues and applications" by Prof. Francesco Lissoni has to be postponed. A new appointement will be in january. Further information available soon.

2. Registration and course fees

If you are interested in attending the event, please contact iideos@uni-marburg.de, stating your full name, the university you are enrolled as PhD student, and which courses you would like to attend.

Some PhD presentations will be integrated in the program. If you would like to present your PhD project, please indicate this intention together with a very short outline of the project and the current status in your email.

The program fee is 25€ for the entire week, regardless of the number of courses you attend.

 3. PHD Course: "An Introduction to Microeconometric Methods and Applications"

Lecturer:  Prof. Torben Schubert
Room:   00 A 12, Caolinenhaus
Time:   Mon, 16th & Tue 17th, 09:00 - 17:00

The course will introduce basic microeconometric methods including ordinary least square regression and maximum likelihood models for limited dependent variables. The course will also discuss recurrent themes related to endogenity issues and instrumental variables. The introduced methods will be implemented in a lab-session unsing real world data.

4. PHD presentations

Each presentation takes 25 minuntes and is followed by a discussion of half an hour. Speakers haeve to hand in a paper one week in advance which will be sent to all participants. These papers serve a better understanding as well as discussion basis. The working language is English.
