Promovierendenwahl 2023

Im Juni findet die Promovierendenvollversammlung mit anschließender Wahl der neuen Promovierendenvertretung statt.     Welche Bedingungen muss ich erfüllen, um an der Wahl teilnehmen zu können?
    Teilnehmen können alle Personen, die an der Philipps-Universität Marburg als Promovierende zugelassen sind. Das entscheidende Kriterium für die Zulassung ist, dass eure Fachbereiche eure Anträge zur Annahme als Doktorand*innen angenommen haben. Das könnt ihr am einfachsten durch den Status als Doktorand*in in Marvin überprüfen. Wir wissen, dass es in einigen Fächern immer noch üblich ist, den Antrag zur Annahme als Doktorand*in erst kurz vor der eigentlichen Promotion zu stellen. Um an zukünftigen Wahlen teilnehmen zu können, müsst ihr den Antrag aber schon vorher stellen.     Die Wahl wird über die Plattform ILIAS durchgeführt, ihr benötigt also ein ILIAS-Konto. Bei Fragen hierzu wendet euch bitte an . Den entsprechenden Beitrittslink für den Kurs zur Wahl erhaltet ihr rechtzeitig per Mail. Die Anonymität eurer Stimmabgabe ist sichergestellt, das Ergebnis der Wahl wird anschließend im Kurs sowie per Mail bekanntgegeben.
    Wenn ihr bereits in Marvin und ILIAS ordnungsgemäß registriert seid, braucht ihr also nur auf den passenden Link zu warten, den wir per Rundmail verschicken werden. Solltet ihr die Anmeldung nicht mehr rechtzeitig schaffen, könnt ihr euch mit euren Anliegen natürlich trotzdem an die gewählte Promovierendenvertretung wenden.

    What conditions do I have to fulfil in order to participate in the election?
    All persons who are admitted as doctoral candidates at Marburg University can participate. The decisive criterion for admission is that your department has accepted your application for acceptance as a doctoral student. The easiest way to check this is by checking your status as a doctoral student in Marvin. We know that in some departments it is still common to submit the application for acceptance as a doctoral candidate only shortly before the actual doctorate. However, in order to be able to participate in future elections, you need to submit the application beforehand.     The election will be conducted via the platform ILIAS, so you need an ILIAS account. If you have any questions, please contact . You will receive the link to join the course in time by email. The anonymity of your vote is guaranteed, the result of the election will be announced in the course and by email.     If you are already properly registered in Marvin and ILIAS, you only need to wait for the appropriate link, which we will send by circular mail. Should you not be able to register in time, you can of course still contact the elected Doctoral Candidates' Representation with your concerns.

  • Worum geht es eigentlich? / What is it all about?

    Seit 2020 gibt es an der Philipps-Universität eine Allgemeine Promovierendenvertretung, die aktuell aus 15 Promovierenden verschiedenster Fachbereiche besteht und sich fächerübergreifend für Probleme und Anliegen aller Promovierenden einsetzt und den Promovierenden auch hochschulpolitisch eine Stimme verleiht. In den ersten zwei Amtsperioden haben wir als Promovierendenvertretung verschiedene Workshops, Führungen und Vernetzungstreffen organisiert, waren (und sind!) Ansprechstelle für alle Promovierenden bei unterschiedlichsten Anliegen, haben an Gremiensitzungen teilgenommen, eine Info-Broschüre und eine Umfrage für Promovierende vorbereitet, uns bundesweit mit anderen Vertretungen ausgetauscht und vieles mehr. Nun stehen im Juni 2023 Neuwahlen an. Dafür brauchen wir eure Hilfe, sowohl als Kandidierende als auch als Wählende!

    Since 2020, the Philipps-Universität has a General Doctoral Candidates' Representation, which currently consists of 15 doctoral candidates from a wide variety of departments and works to address the problems and concerns of all doctoral candidates across all disciplines plus giving doctoral candidates a voice in university politics. In the first two terms of office, we organized various workshops, guided tours and networking meetings, were (and still are!) the point of contact for all doctoral candidates with various concerns, participated in committee meetings, prepared an information brochure and a survey for doctoral candidates, exchanged information with other representatives nationwide and much more. Now, new elections are coming up in June 2023. We need your help, both as candidates and as voters!

    I am in the third year of my PhD registered in faculty of medicine FB 20 but my workplace is currently in faculty of biology FB 17. My research is in basic development biology specifically muscle development. As an international PhD student my experience last year in the representation was very enriching and it was a great learning experience. I would stand for internationalization and inclusiveness of international students by working on language barriers and also equal representation of women in different committees. I would also like to work more on mental health of PhD students and networking this term.

    I’m an evolutionary biologist studying remote sensing in forest environments. In various ways, I’ve been at our university for almost 2 years now. Stemming from the intersection of my experiences as an Ausländer and neurodiverse person, I experienced many things at the university which I feel can be better, and a number of systemic problems which I’d like to address. I hope my intersectional identity could bring a new perspective to the Promovierendenvertretung, if you choose to elect me to represent you all!
