Weitere Informationen

The modern workplace is a collaborative environment. In both academia and industry, it is essential for success to be able to work productively with other individuals and groups whilst promoting your own ideas and projects. Voicing criticism can be a difficult task as people feel so passionately about the subjects being discussed that they sometimes see opposing views as a personal attack. This workshop will teach the participants how to communicate their ideas while minimising the defensive reaction that very often is the result when another point of view is expressed.

This Workshop Will Cover

  • The essential elements of constructive criticism.
  • The pitfalls of different cultural communication styles.
  • Questioning techniques to minimise miscommunication.
  • How to motivate people.

Outcomes

Participants will learn useful, easy-to-follow guidelines which will enable them to be proactive and flexible while advancing their ideas, projects and so their career.

Workshop Style

The workshop draws on the personal experience of all participants as well as that of the trainer, thereby ensuring that the training is specific for and relevant to the participants' individual needs. The workshop will be a structured discussion forum to facilitate ideas and develop strategies.

The workshop will be very interactive. Expect to be asked lots of questions, expect to be challenged, expect to participate!
