19.06.2026 Virtual LiMa Networking Event 2026 Brings Together Educators from Across Europe

The Virtual LiMa Networking Event 2026 on May 29, 2026, brought together educators from LiMa partner universities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Portugal, and Germany to discuss current and future collaboration in pedagogy, civic education, biology didactics, and geography didactics within the LiMa network.

During the event, potential teaching collaborations were suggested, including joint virtual workshops comparing civic education models across countries. 

Further, colleagues discussed the influence and use of Artificial Intelligence in academic settings within teacher education, as well as questions concerning data literacy for future teachers. While some universities reported clear student guidelines outlining acceptable AI use, or the development of new assessment formats, other colleagues reported ongoing ethical and technical discussions, with no formal guidelines from their universities yet. Because the topics, challenges, and perspectives are diverse, the group proposed a special AI-focused meeting in Fall 2026, potentially including presentations about the developments in each country and sharing current guidelines and good practices. Finally, the LiMa Summer School 2028 in Marburg is being shaped with input from the partner universities and colleagues from Marburg. Suggested topics include AI in education, climate change, intercultural competences, and civic education.
