    Yvonne Albers is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies, Arabic Studies, in the DFG-funded research group “Figures of Thought/Turning Points”. She studied Theater Studies, Arabic Studies and Philosophy at Leipzig University and Damascus University between 2003 and 2010. Between 2010 and 2016, she has been a research fellow at the Center for Near and Middle Eastern studies in various projects. She has held a scholarship from the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung between 2016 and 2019 and was affiliated researcher at the Center for Arab and Middle Eastern Studies (CAMES) at the American University Beirut in 2020. Yvonne Albers is co-founder and editorial member of the academic open-access journal Middle East – Topics & Arguments.
