Knowledge Transfer

The transfer of research results and knowledge relevance to practice has traditionally been an important part of Peace and Conflict Studies. Research at the Center explores, for example, options for better planning and implementation of violence prevention projects, peacebuilding and conflict prevention programs, the effectiveness of international criminal jurisdiction, work with refugees, or resistance to right-wing extremist views. Members and staff at the Center also debate “evidence-based interventions”, implement corresponding measures and evaluate the results, often in cooperation with public authorities or the German Institute for Development Evaluation (DEval).
