CMBlu - Germany´s Latest Unicorn

CMBlu Energy is a global deep-tech company redefining long-duration energy storage with its breakthrough SolidFlow battery technology, combining proprietary, energy-dense materials with flow battery architecture to deliver high-performance storage built on abundant, non-flammable materials instead of critical minerals. Founded in 2014 as a spin-off from one of Europe's largest lithium-free battery research labs, CMBlu has grown into a global player with over 250 employees, including more than 150 scientists and engineers.
The company is now scaling production through its automated gigafactory in Alzenau, Germany, with further facilities planned in the U.S. and Greece to build resilient, localized supply chains – paving the way for the next generation of digital infrastructure and electrified industries worldwide.

Dr. Röder will share first-hand insights from working closely with CMBlu's leadership, key decisions behind the company's growth, and what it takes to build one of Germany's most promising energy companies from the ground up.
