PhD candidate

Matthias Verbeck is PhD candidate and former research and teaching assistant at the research group Institutional Economics. In his doctoral dissertation he elaborates on the question of how incentives for efficient information aggregation and transmission can be designed.  In particular he analyzes how incentive structures for researchers can be arranged such that society’s overall benefit from research is maximized. Moreover, he is interested in all kinds of “wisdom-of-crowds”-phenomena, especially in prediction markets. (See also his Curriculum Vitae)
