After studying mathematics, she completed her doctorate in economics with a thesis on family economics and worked as a research assistant at the Department of Microeconomics at the University of Dortmund (research stays at the Stockholm School of Economics and the Academia Sinica Taipei). The assistant position at the Chair of Controlling at the Eberhard-Karls-University Tübingen was completed in 2004 with a habilitation with Venia Legendi for Business Administration. Since 2004, Ms. Korn has held a professorship in economics, in particular the microeconomics of Philipps University Marburg (including stays at the London School of Economics, the University of Kentucky and UC Davis). She has been Vice President of Studies and Teaching since 2016.
