We are organizing Retreats on a regular basis. We have one or two annual Retreats with all members of PEGASUS where scientific results are presented and discussed. In addition, further tasks and research goals are defined.
We also organize Junior Retreats on an annual basis to allow our young scientists to present and discuss their results in a professional environment. In this context, we also welcome senior scientists to work with the young researchers and thus guarantee this very important part of scientific education within PEGASUS.
For 2021 we are organizing an international Symposium in cooperation together with the International Pemphigus and Pemphigoid Foundation (IPPF) here in Marburg.Inhalt ausklappen Inhalt einklappen Patient registry and sample management including contact to the Comprehensive Biomaterial Bank Marburg (CBBMR)Patient registry and sample management including contact to the Comprehensive Biomaterial Bank Marburg (CBBMR)
To date, data of around 100 patients are included in our pemphigus registry. From around 20 patients we have collected and stored biomaterial at The Comprehensive Biomaterial Bank Marburg, a core facility of the Marburg School of Medizine. At the CBBMR, samples from patients, e.g. tissue or blood, are being collected and stored under high quality standards. In addition, patients’ data like age, sex and diagnosis are documented. The CP is also responsible for dealing with requests and finalizing sample shipment.
For sample requests, feel free to contact us!Inhalt ausklappen Inhalt einklappen GEROK positionsGEROK positions
Besides administrative duties, the CP is also responsible for the promotion of young clinicians in research. Thus, we are happy that also in the second funding period of FOR 2497 GEROK positions are available. The young clinician scientists are involved in several TPs in Marburg, Aachen and Berlin. They work on the preclinical pemphigus mouse model (TP1), the phenotypic and functional characterization of evolving blood and inflammatory cells (TP2), the impact of innate immunity on disease manifestation (TP3) and the clinical and immunological analysis of the phase-I-trial in pemphigus patients (TP8).
