Registration process
Teachers are encouraged to discuss the results of the course evaluation with their students. In order to guarantee this opportunity during the current semester, you should register and conduct the teaching evaluation in a timely manner.
Teachers can register for the evaluation on the evaluation portal of the new Zensus software (a user manual can be found here). For data protection reasons, you need at least 5 participants to carry out the evaluation. Please note that a report can only be produced if we have received at least 5 completed questionnaires.
After registering, you will receive an email from the software four days before the evaluation begins with a link and a QR code for the survey. If there are less than four days left before the evaluation begins at the time of registration, you will receive the email immediately after creating your survey. At the end of the evaluation, the software will automatically send you the results.
When registering your evaluations, please ensure that the information you provide is complete, as we need it to compile aggregated (re)accreditation reports. If the information is incomplete, we will need to make inquiries, which can take up a considerable amount of our time.
New "online-in-person" option: In order to avoid the lower response rates of a conventional online survey compared to a paper survey, a QR code is presented during an in-person event, which students can use to log into the corresponding online survey with their mobile devices and complete the evaluation during the course. This combines the advantages of both paper and online methods.
If your course is taught by several instructors, please consult with your colleagues. It is advisable to conduct the evaluation separately for each instructor, as otherwise students would have to give an average score, which is generally not very expressive of one individual’s teaching methods. Often, the variance in the responses is also increased. Additional instructors who are listed will also receive the results by email.
