University Meets Refugees:

Philipps-Universität Marburg (UMR)

Information Portal for Refugees and Asylum Seekers

In light of the growing number of people fleeing their home countries from violence, war and political persecution and seeking refuge in Germany, Philipps-Universität Marburg (UMR) would like to provide those refugees and asylum seekers who are interested in studying and furthering their education with targeted support and information services on the various opportunities for commencing university studies here.

Currently there are approximately 1,000 recognized and unrecognized refugees in the county of Marburg-Biedenkopf, many of whom have acquired a university entrance qualification in their home country or have already taken up their studies or graduated. The “University Meets Refugees“ information portal offers both refugees and interested members of the university the opportunity to quickly and easily find information on current support and informational services at the UMR and to network.
