Jannis Gottwald from the Nature 4.0 team and other authors present an open source radio tracking system for small animals. The publication in Methods in Ecology and Evolution describes the workflow from hardware setup and antenna calibration to data recording and processing. The example on bats is located in the Marburg Open Forest.
