Dr. Susanne Meinert from the Institute of Translational Psychiatry at the University of Münster has been honored with the 2025 ECNP Rising Star Award.

The ECNP Rising Star Award, presented by the European College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ECNP), recognizes up to two outstanding early-career scientists each year whose research in applied and translational neuroscience has the potential to advance the science, treatment, and prevention of brain disorders. 

The award includes an unrestricted prize of €2,000 and an invitation to present an award talk at the ECNP Congress. Dr. Meinert’s work focuses on leveraging advanced brain imaging techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging, to deepen our understanding of the mechanisms underlying mental disorders and to inform innovative approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. 

This distinction highlights Dr. Meinert’s standing as one of the most promising young researchers in European neuropsychopharmacology and acknowledges her impactful contributions to translational brain science.
