2025

  • To mark the successful funding of one LOEWE centre and eight LOEWE priority areas, Science and Research Minister Timon Gremmels presented certificates to the LOEWE scientists of the 15th, 16th and 17th funding seasons. Among them was Habitat!

  • Last week we were finally able to lift and install our new HUND BAA500e automatic #pollenmonitor at the #Lahnberge. We are looking forward to the first data for the #LOEWE HABITAT project.

  • The FORESEEN study has recently been carried out as part of the LOEWE research focus “HABITAT”. This is a clinical study in the field of obstetrics. The aim of the study is to investigate the effects of extreme weather events, which are increasingly occurring as a result of climate change, on the development of hypertensive pregnancy disorders (HES).

  • We are delighted that Prof. Mareike Lehmann has joined HABITAT as PI. She has been Professor of Translational Inflammation Research since the end of 2022 and is interested in cellular ageing processes in various diseases.
  • We also warmly welcome Prof. Chrysanthi Skevaki as an associate member of HABITAT. She is active in the fields of immunology, biomarker identification and chronic inflammatory diseases.
