We are pleased that you have agreed to participate in a HeFDI Data Talk. Here you will find all the information we need in advance, how the Data Talks work and how we would like to publish your Talk.

Format & Advertising

The Data Talks are aimed at a mixed audience of researchers and infrastructure members from the HeFDI universities, with more and more guests joining in from across the country. The format is open to all interested parties.

We specifically invite the appropriate subject areas at the HeFDI universities. Each talk consists of about 30 to 40 minutes of lecture, followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion. So far, this has been actively used.

Send Information and Upload Slides in Advance, Arrange Test Date if Necessary

  • So that we can promote you well, please send us some information via this form at least three weeks before the talk.
  • We would also appreciate it if you could upload your slides to the Hessenbox shortly before the talk to be on the safe side - in case something goes wrong, this would enable us to release the slides for you.
  • We would be happy to arrange a test date with you before "your" Data Talk to try out the technology, release, audio and video. Please contact us at hefdi@uni-marburg.de or 06421-28-24310.

Publication of Slides and if Applicable Video Recording

We would like to publish your slides afterwards in the HeFDI community on Zenodo, if you allow us to do so. If you wish, we would also be happy to publish a video recording of your talk on YouTube, as in this example. We will discuss this with you individually.

Web Conference Room

We always use the same WebEx room for the HeFDI Data Talks. You will receive the access data from us by mail. We recommend that you install the WebEx client.
