20.01.2026 A Successful First Project Meeting in Coimbra

The NAVINCLASS project officially launched at the University of Coimbra with its first Transnational Project Meeting, establishing the research framework and practical peace education strategies needed to address polarization and conflict within higher education classrooms.

The first Transnational Project Meeting (TPM1) held on 15–16 January 2026 at the University of Coimbra officially launched the NAVINCLASS project. The consortium established its conceptual and organizational foundations, focusing on how societal polarization and conflicts manifest within higher education classrooms.

The meeting successfully blended theoretical approaches to peace education with practical strategies for lecturers - such as conflict analysis, dialogue-based methods, and non-violent communication. Additionally, partners finalized the project's research methodology, including data collection timelines and focus group designs, concluding with practical insights from local students and academic staff to strengthen future cooperation.
