Professor Conze from the department of history and cultural studies will, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary since the treaty of Versailles, present an insightful talk entitled “The Great Illusion – Why the world did not find Peace in 1919.” He will link the interesting topic of an attempted global reorganization under the new prerequisite of democratic principles, with the present age.

Professor Conze vom Fachbereich Geschichte und Kulturwissenschaften der Philipps-Universität wird anlässlich des hundertjährigen Jubiläums der Versailler Friedensverträge einen aufschlussreichen Vortrag in englischer Sprache mit dem Titel “The Great Illusion – Why the world did not find Peace in 1919.” Dabei wird er eine Verbindung zwischen dem damaligen Versuch einer globalen Neuordnung unter demokratischen Vorzeichen und der Gegenwart herstellen.
