18.10.2025 Ausfall des 2FA-Dienstes am 18.10.25 zwischen 04:15 Uhr und 20:25 Uhr

Am Samstag, 18.10.2025, war der Dienst für die Zwei-Faktor-Authentisierung (2FA) zwischen ca. 04:15 Uhr und 20:25 Uhr ausgefallen // On Saturday, October 18, 2025, the two-factor authentication (2FA) service was down between approximately 4:15 a.m. and 8:25 p.m.

In dieser Zeit standen alle zentralen IT-Dienste, die neben dem Passwort einen zweiten Faktor (z. B. YubiKey, zeitbasierte Einmalpasswörter/TOTP oder TAN) erfordern, nicht zur Verfügung, darunter auch die VPN-Verbindung ins Uni-Netz.

Ursache für den Ausfall war ein Datenbankfehler.

During this time, all central IT services that require a second factor (e.g., YubiKey, time-based one-time passwords/TOTP, or TAN) in addition to a password were unavailable, including the VPN connection to the university network.

The outage was caused by a database error.
