The GenDem subproject examines how Salafist-Islamist female activists on Instagram and TikTok disseminate anti-feminist narratives and stage religious practices in everyday life. The project focuses on how religious references, moral guidelines, and distinctions from the “Global North” are made visible in images, posts, and cross-platform dynamics.
