Family Law as an Arena for Male Resovereignization? Men’s Rights Movements in Germany and Turkey

The GenDem subproject focuses on anti-feminist mobilizations by fathers’ rights groups in Germany and Turkey. The central question is how and why fathers’ rights groups attempt to maintain male privileges in family law, thereby undermining or reversing progressive measures aimed at promoting gender equality. The relevance of and processes surrounding socioeconomic change and crises constitute an important aspect of this research.
