Student assistants

Sophie Möller 

Hey there,

my name is Sophie Möller, and I have been studying in the bachelor's program "Language and Communication" here in Marburg since the winter semester of 2019. As part of an internship at AG Phonetik, I supported the organization of the IAFPA conference (International Association for Forensic Phonetics and Acoustics) in the summer of 2021. In January of 2022, I joined the team of the AG Phonetik of the Institute of German Linguistics as a student assistant.

Initially, the special focus of the university on forensic phonetics drew me to Marburg for my studies. In the further course of my studies, however, I also quickly developed an interest in many other aspects of this field, such as language perception and neurophonetics. In the meantime, since I am currently still at the beginning of my student career, I am simply trying to learn as much about phonetic research as possible and to support the working group in its everyday tasks as good as possible.
