Early Career Researchers

M4C is committed to shape the next generation of excellent researchers through a dynamic, individualized, and future-oriented training and networking framework. Early career Researchers (ECRs) benefit from a comprehensive range of scientific expertise and technological infrastructure within the cluster, allowing for unhindered research project development in state-of-the-art laboratories. Extensive collaborations with world-leading (inter-)national research groups provide all resources needed for a holistic investigation of research questions.

Acknowledging that professional development became increasingly diverse and non-linear, M4C’s program is designed to support ECRs and their career choices at any stage, from doctoral candidates to postdoctoral researchers and emerging principal investigators. Feedback from peers, recurring meetings with mentors as well as regular workshops ensure targeted research and career progression, accompanied by social activities to connect with colleagues beyond the lab.
