Development of virus surrogate systems for quantification of neutralising antibodies against highly pathogenic viruses

The focus of this project lies in the development of virus surrogate systems as additional instruments for the quantification of neutralizing antibodies against highly pathogenic BSL-3/-4 viruses. These surrogate systems are based on replication-deficient pseudotyped viruses (Lentiviruses) or on replication-competent recombinant VSV that both integrate a foreign surface protein of interest (e.g. SARS CoV-2 S, Marburgvirus GP) in order to test e.g. neutralization efficacy of human sera.
