Support for Refugees on Campus
The Coordinating Office for University Activities for Supporting Refugees is the main point of contact for refugee initiatives and activities at the UMR. In close cooperation with local contacts, the office supports, pools and coordinates requests by persons or initiatives who would like to become involved in a university context with the professional and social integration of refugees and asylum seekers at UMR. The office also informs interested and engaged members of the university on support and networking opportunities, activities of other cooperation partners and on current events and activities at the UMR.

The Center for Near and Middle Eastern Studies launched some clips on Philipps-Universität's youtube-channel addressing especially the needs of refugees. Several videos take a closer look on different topics such as application, parental benefits or employment contracts for example.

- The Kinderbetreuung at the Begegnungscafe in Gossfelden is searching for helpers. The Begegnungscafe is a place that brings local refugees together with the community and the Kinderbetreuung is offered for those children who are interested in having some fun together making activities. Activities span from playing to making arts and crafts to exploring outdoors. We meet Thursdays from 15:00-17:00 at Rossweg 16, 35094 Gossfelden.
