Prof. Dr. Birgit Ziegenhagen

My own research tradition goes back to the early 90ies when I entered the
field of `Molecular Biodiversity´, at that time together with the European
Forest Genetic scientific community. Today I am using these expertises in the
field of Evolutionary Conservation Biology.
Besides fundamental research activities - genetic effects of disturbances -
I am using the developed toolkits for genetic certification purposes and
provenance identification.

I am enjoying to enhance scientific networks and cooperation in Europe,
furthermore in Tibet and South America.
