How to Find Us
By car
No matter whether you approach Marburg from the south or north, the easiest way is to go along the B3.
If you are approaching from the north (i.e. Kassel), take the exit "Bahnhofstraße". Keep to the right until you are on Bahnhofstraße and have crossed the river Lahn, going towards the city center. Follow Bahnhofstraße around the left turn towards the church Elisabethkirche, pass the junction with Ketzerbach and go straight on into Pilgrimstein. Then immediately turn right into Steinstraße at the next traffic lights. After a few meters you will see a butcher's shop ahead. Turn left up the hill into Roter Graben just before this shop. Follow this street all the way up the hill, it will turn into Renthof after a few twists and turns.
If approaching from the south (i.e. Frankfurt/Giessen), take the exit "Marburg Mitte". Turn right at the junction into Wilhelm-Röpke-Straße and go up the hill, then turn right again at the traffic lights and follow Kurt-Schumacher-Brücke, crossing over the B3. The street will eventually be called Erlenring. Follow it further across the river Lahn, then turn right at the traffic lights into Rudolphsplatz / Biegenstraße. Follow Biegenstraße all the way to the end and turn left into Deutschhausstraße. Go towards the church Elisabethkirche. At the junction, turn left into Pilgrimstein. Then immediately turn right into Steinstraße at the next traffic lights. After a few meters you will see a butcher's shop ahead. Turn left up the hill into Roter Graben just before this shop. Follow this street all the way up the hill, it will turn into Renthof after a few twists and turns.
The department's car park is at the top of the hill to your right, just behind the barrier. Use the dials at the barrier to call the office of your contact person within our group (or the secretary) and they will open the barrier for you. The yellow building to your right just behind the barrier is Renthof 7 and our offices are on the second floor of this building.
By public transport
Take the train to Marburg (Lahn). When you are outside the train station facing the bus stops (with the train station at your back), go straight on towards Bahnhofsstraße. Cross the river Lahn and follow Bahnhofstraße around the left turn towards the church Elisabethkirche. Walk across the junction with Ketzerbach and go straight on into Pilgrimstein. Then immediately turn right into Steinstraße at the next traffic lights. After a few meters you will see a butcher's shop ahead. Turn left up the hill into Roter Graben just before this shop. Follow this street all the way up the hill, it will turn into Renthof after a few twists and turns. The department's car park is at the top of the hill to your right, just behind the barrier.
