    SoSe 2025 Authoritarianism in Turkey: Past and Present (Undergraduate).
    A lecture on the genealogy and current state of authoritarian leadership and it´s relationship with publics in Turkey and the Ottoman Empire.
    SoSe 2025 Post-Truth in Popular Media (Undergraduate). 
    A seminar examining the rise of the so-called "post truth" phenomenon with particular attention to the role of entertainment media , including scripted and reality TV, "fake" news, cinema, music, and gaming.
    WiSe 2024/25 Paratextual Production for Publics and Platforms (Undergraduate).
    A course that explores publics and strategies for reaching them trough production of a paratextual online zine or podcast - that is, making media about media.
    WiSe 2024/25 Mediating the National Past: Nostalgia and NeoOttomanism in Turkey (Undergraduate).
    A seminar examining how mediation of nationalist nostalgia focused on the Ottoman past intersects with everyday life and politics in Turkey. 
    WiSe 2024/25 Screening the City: Istanbul (Graduate).
    A seminar exploring the relationship between urban life and media screens, ranging from cinema to television to cell phones to electronic billboards, through a case study of Istanbul.
    SoSe 2024 Turkish TV Drama (Undergraduate).
    A seminar exploring the rise of Turkish dizi (serial TV drama) from local to global phenomenon through examination of it´s industry, texts, audiences, and transnationalization.
