MACIE award for outstanding theses

colourbox

The Marburg Centre for Institutional Economics (MACIE) has established the MACIE prize for outstanding student theses in the field of Institutional Economics. The prize will be awarded annually to BSc and MSc students in recognition of their contribution to the understanding of the role of institutions in shaping economic behaviour.

Award-winning theses have a clearly defined research question and add to our understanding of the nature, role, and evolution of formal and informal institutions and organisations.

The MACIE award for outstanding thesis has often been awarded jointly with the Marburger Gesellschaft für Ordnungsfragen der Wirtschaft e.V. and/or the Doris und Dr. Michael Hagemann-Stiftung.
