About Me

I started my PhD in 2017 in Prof. Freisleben's group. My main focus is on oppurtunistic networks, edge computing, and outsourcing of computations to lower hardware and software layers or edge nodes.

ReactiFi: Reactive Programming of Wi-Fi Firmware on Mobile Devices

Network programmability will be required to handle future increased network traffic and constantly changing application needs. ReactiFi enables programmers to implement extensions of PHY, MAC, and IP layer mechanisms without requiring expert knowledge of Wi-Fi chips, allowing for novel applications and network protocols. ReactiFi programs are executed directly on the Wi-Fi chip, improving performance and power consumption compared to execution on the main CPU.

OPPLOAD: Offloading Computational Workflows in Opportunistic Networks

Computation offloading is often used in mobile cloud, edge, and/or fog computing to cope with resource limitations of mobile devices in terms of computational power, storage, and energy. Computation offloading is particularly challenging in situations where network connectivity is intermittent or errorprone. In this paper, we present OPPLOAD, a novel framework for offloading computational workflows in opportunistic networks.
