HeFDI Data Talk "Electronic Laboratory Notebooks - An Introduction Using the Example of eLabFTW" (GER)

HeFDI Data Talk on 17 November 2023, 11h-12h

The online event is free of charge; click here to register. With the registration you will receive the access data, which are valid for all talks of our bi-weekly series. The talk will be held in English.

Lab books are part of everyday research: this is where measurement results, sketches of experimental set-ups, observations or evaluations end up. But what happens when these data are increasingly digital? Should they be printed out and pasted in - or is there a better solution? This is where electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs) come in. Using the example of elabFTW (https://www.elabftw.net), we will look at how ELNs can replace the classic paper lab book and what other possibilities they offer.

Speaker: Dr. Björn Trebels, Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen & Hüseyin Uzun, Goethe University

Chair: Maria Kiefer, HeFDI Coordination Office
