HeFDI Data Talk on 12 July 2024, 11h-12h

The online event is free of charge; click here to register. With the registration you will receive the access data, which are valid for all talks of our bi-weekly series. The talk will be held in German.

As part of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), the NFDI4Culture consortium addresses research data on tangible and intangible cultural assets, representing the disciplines of art history, musicology, theatre and media studies, and architecture. We introduce you to the Task Area "Standards, Data Quality and Curation" and its main lines of work. In the various disciplines and specialist communities there is a great heterogeneity of subjects, a wide range of data literacy skills and a broad spectrum of digital formats and data types that need to be dealt with. How can the application of standards and quality assurance procedures for research data be promoted in this complex environment? While discipline-specific approaches are essential to engage with researchers, the activities always aim at a general improvement of the interdisciplinary reusability of data in line with the FAIR Principles. The talk will present some key approaches.

Speakers:

  • Angela Kailus: Philipps-Universität (DDK) in NFDI4Culture, Task Area 2 "Standards, Datenqualität, Kuratierung"
  • Dr. Celia Krause: Philipps-Universität (DDK) in NFDI4Culture, Task Area 2 "Standards, Datenqualität, Kuratierung"

Chair: Veit Lorenz, HeFDI Coordination Team
